Getting Started with Strength Training

Pilates in itself does have strength training components, it is using body weight and it is a brilliant way to get started, but as soon as you can adding additional weights is the goal.


I have a Zoom with weights class each week on a Wednesday which combines Pilates with the BIG 5 moves (Push, Pull, Plank, Hinge, Squat), and this is a brilliant way to get strength training into your class. It's a quick 30 minute session and we use 1kg weights.
